Beach Bums

Once again we headed south to our favorite vacation spot, North Myrtle Beach-Cherry Grove, North Carolina. For a 12-hour car ride, the kids did excellent. We left in the middle of the night, but they were up off and on from 4 am on.....but thank goodness for two portable DVD players and two sets of headphones.

Jake was much more adventurous this year, actually went out in the ocean to his belly instead of his ankles, as he done in the past years. But I can't say the same about Julie, she has no fear of the ocean waters. The waves were coming as high as her chin, she was almost too brave. They both rode the boogie board and sat and played in the sand for countless hours. Jake is a great Bocce Ball player, he played many, many games with Daddy and Pappy and I beat Shane about 15/18 games of paddle ball. Heehee

First Pool/Cook-Out

It's summer for sure, and already I am behind on posting.

Last Sunday we had a great afternoon at the Kiger's pool following one of many cook-outs. The kids just can't get enough of the it. Between their pool and Pappy & Grandma's pool and the beach, they might be part duck by September.

Last Day of Pre-School

I was really sad. I didn't expect to be. When I took Jake to pre-school for the last time yesterday, I thought UGH! My baby is going to Kindergarten next year!! How did that happen so fast? Before I know it, I'll be taking him to take his driver's test....geeze!

And already today he has asked me about sixty-five times about Kindergarten, when are we going, will "So & So" be there?...on and on. I said Jake if you are going to ask me that every day all day, it's going to be a loooong summer.
